The Village of Macoun has many opportunities to join a committee that offers programs and services to the residents and visitors of our small community. The committees listed below are always accepting new members as well as volunteers. Please reach out to the committee rep for further details.

Macoun Parks and Rec

The Macoun Parks and Rec board are a group of caring individuals committed to providing family friendly events to residents and guests of all ages. The Board meets monthly to plan and prepare. Be sure to follow their Facebook page at Macoun 's Park & Rec to keep up to date on upcoming events. For more information or to inquire about booking the hall for your own function,

Macoun Town Hall

The Macoun Town Hall Committee is currently working away at revamping the old Hall. Some of the Hall will be restored to its original state while other features will offer a fresh new look. The Town Hall Committee meets monthly to discuss progress and plans for the future. Please follow their Facebook page at Macoun Town Hall for fundraising events and planned work bees. Macoun Happy Gang Club

The Macoun Happy Gang Club offers space for residents and visitors 50 years of age and older to come together to visit and have fun. The Board hosts events such as soup and sandwich lunches, turkey and ham Bingo, Christmas themed lunches and more. The facility is available to rent for big group gatherings, birthday parties, funerals or any other event that may require additional space. Macoun Gun Club

The Macoun indoor gun range has been in operation since 1982. Archery, any caliber of handgun and .22 rimfire riffles are acceptable to operate in the range. Annual membership fees are $80.00 for an individual or $120.00 for a family. Macoun School

The Macoun School offers classes for children in and around Macoun in grades K-8. Once kids reach Grade 9 they are bussed to the Estevan Comp. The Macoun School kids keep busy performing for United Way, Christmas programs, Remembrance Day ceremonies, Track and Field and more. For more information please contact the School at 306-634-9257.

Little Cubs Early Learning Centre

Little Cubs is a preschool group offered to children ages 3 and 4. Children benefit from early exposure in the Macoun School which helps reduce anxiety when it comes time to join classes in kindergarten. The preschool teachers offer an early start with letters, numbers, colours and more.
